Soak in a float pod, rejuvenate your mind, body and soul

Float pod

Do I need to bring anything?

The Float Room provides everything that you need to float – towels, face cloths, ear plugs, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. If there’s anything else you think you may need, we have a special spot to store it in the ensuite.

The float pod is a lot more spacious than expected, but the lid can be left open, or opened at any time. More often than not, those with claustrophobia don’t experience symptoms while floating.
What if I fall asleep?
A lot of people sleep during float therapy. You are completely buoyant when in the float pod, so you will stay afloat even if you fall asleep.
How are the tanks kept clean?
The high saline content of the solution in the float pod means that nothing nasty can survive. The big box you’ll see to the right of the pod at The Float Room filters the solution between every float, passing the water through UV light filters multiple times between floats.
Is this new age mumbo jumbo?
Floatation therapy was developed in the 1950’s, and is very popular in Europe and America. You should definitely try it out and experience the benefits for yourself.
Will I have my own private room?

Yes, the float pod is in a very private (sound proof and light proof) room. Once you enter The Float Room you don’t have to leave until your session is finished.

Are there any side effects?
Sometimes, those that use the float tank can experience slight nausea during their first float therapy session. This is very rare, and isn’t usually reported for any subsequent floatation therapy sessions.
